Dual-level certification in PRINCE2—the globally recognized, process-based project
management methodology originally developed by the UK Government's Central Computer and
Telecommunications Agency (CCTA), later the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), and now
maintained by AXELOS. PRINCE2 provides a structured, scalable framework for managing
projects of any size, complexity, or industry sector within controlled environments.
Foundation Level validates comprehensive understanding of the PRINCE2
methodology, including mastery of its core framework: the 7 Principles (continued
business justification, learn from experience, defined roles and responsibilities,
manage by stages, manage by exception, focus on products, and tailor to suit the project
environment), the 7 Themes (business case, organization, quality, plans, risk, change,
and progress), and the 7 Processes (starting up a project, directing a project,
initiating a project, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing stage
boundaries, and closing a project). Proficient in understanding the inputs, outputs, and
management products across the project lifecycle.
Practitioner Level demonstrates the ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2
methodology to real-world project scenarios. Expertise in adapting the framework to suit
specific project environments while maintaining the integrity of its principles. Skilled
at implementing stage-gate controls, managing by exception through defined tolerances,
maintaining continuous business justification, and ensuring product-focused delivery.
Proficient in establishing appropriate governance structures, defining clear
accountability through the project board, and managing risk and change within controlled
parameters. Capable of integrating lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle and
ensuring alignment between project objectives and organizational strategy.
